Just got hold of a NS125F that needs more than a little work! It hasn't got a carb. I believe its supposed to be a Dellorto 26mm? Can anyone confirm this and also does the NSR carry the same carb? Sorry can't confirm age yet as havent recieved the V5 (no number plate Mad !)

Hi

Should be a Dellorto PHBH26 carb, which is not the same as that used in the NSR (NSR used a 28mm carb).

Hi

Ones for other bikes will be jetted differently, and there will be other differences as well (such as which jets are actually in place, where the 2 stroke oil pipe connects, etc).

To be honest, in the UK the NS is probably the most common bike fitted with that carb.

A Dt 125? Thats an expensive carb (£501)!?? How much work is it to get it running with a 28mm carb? NSR carb say?

That's all good and well, but you need to know the dellorto part number for your particular carb. For PHBH, these are 6413.xxx, 1486.xx and 11600.xx for main, idle and power respectively. Just change the x's for the jet size.

So the size of the carb (26mm, 28mm etc) is down to the choke size? What's that about? Confused
