I don't have a large socket for my sump nut, it appears to be about 24mm using a tape measure to measure it (don't have anything more accurate than this)

Can anyone confirm this, so I can go and buy the socket?

Cheers

That seems a little large to be honest, do you have the right bolt they are usually about 17-19mm.

24mm bolt yeah that's right, for the bolt under the gear selector?

that spring is to keep the oil filter pressed in, also make sure u dont lose the small rubber ring that goes on the end, keeps it all fitting nicely, dont tighten it to tightly, i did to my cg and took ages to get it back of!
