It was savagely cold today as well, yesterday and today being the coldest days by quite a bit for a while.

What crash bungs were they? Having the bung snap isn't neccessarily a bad thing - some are designed to snap rather than do some more permanent damage.

Having seen it happen, it's common decency to check the person is ok, whether you were involved or not.

When I came off the NSR because I went wide into incoming traffic, the car driver stopped to check I was ok, even though it had nothing to do with them apart from being there.

Unlucky mate, at least it looks relatively easily put right.

Would suggest and recommend R&G crash bungs when you replace yours.

I've used them in anger and was well pleased with the lack of damage. The bike went down at about 45mph and slid 150 yards, all it got was a couple of minor scuffs and a scraped lever. The R&G was well ground down but still straight and cam out easily with a socket wrench.

Like others have said, just count your blessings that you broke nothing.

I was 'thrown-off' my iron horse two months ago.
(I Never posted details as I fell off twice last year and didn't wish to bore yous with it)
My pryde and Joy was saved from massive damage by R&G bungs. Mashed the plastic and bent the mounting bolt but saved bars, brake lever and mirror.
I had the can protector bit too but never fitted it as it looks shyte. But the front of the can copped it. Crying or Very sad

Wet road and white road marking.
