Arsin' battery

Can not believe it, one day of no use and its dead

And before its day of non use it had covered 45 miles in 2 days, so it should be charged. Very strange and never happened to me before on this bike (CBR Fsport).

Any one think of a reason why this has happened?

Thinking an optimate is a good investment, after which ive paid to have my downpipes fitted as the peg has welded it self to the bolt which is connect to the manifold. As you can tell a shitty week for my motorcycling

You checked the levels at all?
If there low top up with distilled water and whack an optimate on it,
Trickle chargers are crap, because they can overcharge,
optimates, er, mend batteries and those they cant mend need throwing sound investment imo

as to why its happened? dunno, some bikes are left on side stand all the time causing the batteroe to be on a tilt making it leak,
alternators duff? doubtfull on this as its easy enough to check,, check if your lights go bright when you rev the bike, if so its fine.

Still dont work

Hearing all the correct noises but bike never jumps into life. Checked kill switch, just in process of taking fairings off, as had them off and when i put them back on the problem started. Maybe hit a wire, hopefully. Just getting me down

So I'm right in saying the battery is turning the engine over?
just no brum.
you checked the plugs?, ht leads (are they hardened with age) is there a spark?

so on ,, you tryed bumping the bike?

Yup you are correct, thinking maybe flooded. Thing is battery has just died again after just two short turn overs. Battery problem? Just weird for it to just died just over night.

poss flooded if enough to turn over yet not to spark aswell,
also if its got a clutch and gears you can bump the thing.
either borrow or buy a new battery then try but id go for bumping first,

When you get it going again, check out the voltage accross the battery when the bike is running at a high tickover, about 2,000 r.p.m. If the voltage is above 13 volts then your Regulator is not working properly and it will kill your battery, if the voltage is less than 12 volts then you may have an altenator fault.

Thanks for the replies, did finally get her to fire up. Was a flooded problem, once she cleared her troat so to speak all problems with the battery went away, weird.

So got her to the shop for all her nice parts to be fitted. (s/s down pipes, PCIII USB and K&N airfiler )
