Hi all,

I bought myself a new blue flame titanium exhaust on sunday at alexandra palace. I spent most of the day looking around at different exhausts, trying to decide which one I wanted, based on looks, removability of baffles and generally what I've heard about them.

I spoke to the carbon can co, and they were really helpful, but I wasn't keen on the way you had to drill out rivets etc. to remove the baffles.

I spoke to blue flame and they were really helpful, and offered me free delivery and £50 off the retail price of any exhaust. The baffles seemed really easy to remove too.

I went to ask about remus exhausts and the guy was a right w*nker. He only offered twenty quid off, and told me that if I bought a blue flame exhaust, it would break within a year and I would be back to buy a remus exhaust within the year! Thats slander if ever I heard it!

So I basically told him to shove it and went off and ordered my blue flame plain titanium dual port exhaust right then.

Why are people so terrible when they're desperate for sales? I can't believe people would stoop to such low levels, trying to force me to spend another £90 on an exhaust and slander the competition, with no proof!

Rant over, can't wait to get my exhaust!

Its all a bunch of old w*nk as you say, I had a Blue Flame twin port on my old bike, it was top.

The banding did start to come away on one of the rivets but nothing that a quick pop rivet wouldnt have sorted.

Hope its ok!!

The Remus I had on my XT was sh1te didn't last a year, A mate of mine has had a Blueflame on his bandit 6 for over 2years (all weather rider) with no problems. Suppose the odd pipe must have defects. Rolling Eyes

Lets hope you don't have to get it fixed then as the blue flame customer support is supposed to be the worst and of all the exhaust manufacturers, I've heard of more complaints of BF than anyone else.

I saw a dual port Blue Flame the other day on a beautiful Gixxer, they are very distinctive! Recognised it in a second. Lovely looking cans. I've always heard though, that they aren't the best for build quality, and Remus are. It seems to vary widely though. Rolling Eyes

Personally I'd take remus over blue flame any day, they're really well made and good quality. Had a set on my Ducati for a couple of years.
A bit of help from the sales guy doesn't go amiss though!

Would just like to say Thumbs Down to BlueFlame build quality. I used to live near Skelmersdale where they're based, and it's not confidance inspiring to go to the factory. My can (just over a year old) has lost rivits and all sorts.

Never again.

Remus make most of the Ducati Performance cans, well known for being good quality.
