Is anybody doing anything special for valentines day?

I have just ordered some roses for my O/H to be delivered to her house on tuesday.

We will probably have a cosy night in infront of the telly. Seeing as she cannot drink because of the bun in the oven, there isnt much point in going out.

Today at work I carved a 'flower pot' out of a trunk of silver birch, going to plant a flower in it for my mates girlfriend, I don't have a girl, valentines day sucks!

Partly my fault but not entirely.

I will of course pretend that I dont care about it being spend-lots-of money-on-girls day. The good bit is I wont have to make any excuses about why Im not spending money getting her stuff.

I swear Valentine's Day is only kept alive by card manufacturers and florists (call me a cynic!). Luckily my girlfriend agrees, but nonetheless I've booked a table at a restaraunt. We hardly ever go out for a meal ("What's wrong with the pub?") so it'll be a nice change anyway, and we'll actually get something more than a couple of half dead flowers!
