I've been on it, and it's good except I can't understand it!

You could always try ebay.com. Take advantage of the strong pound. ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |

I've brought quite a bit from the differnet Ebay domains, don't know why they won't let you look at all the items worldwide?
America is good for oldskool suzuki stuff, V&H racing bits etc but the postage can be a bit high for heavier items.
Biggest problem I found was that most of Europe use IBAN to transfer money but the UK seens way behind. Most people will post to the UK if you ask. Postage from Germany is pretty good, I paid 20 Euros for complete exhaust sytem. Took 2 days.
I spend a fair bit of time in Germany due to work and its surprising how many speak English, its considered the International language and is taught at school.
After a bit you do realise how obvious some words are, very literal, for instance auspuff is exhaust.
I use www.dict.leo.org for words I don't know. |

Personally got my fingers burned doing this so I prefer to stay within the UK now.
Bought a rear mudguard and a tacho for my bike, both auctions ended within about 2 days of each other. Sent payment immediately via paypal. Waited - nothing. After a week sent the seller an email (translated via google ) asking if my parts had been sent. Got an email back saying they would give me feedback after I had given theirs. Sent another email asking for a tracking number or proof of postage or just confirmation that they'd sent them - no reply.
Started a dispute - had to do it via paypal as that was how I'd paid. Paypal said the seller had provided sufficient proof of postage for the tacho (but couldn't tell me where it was ) so tough shit, but they gave me a refund for the mudguard - however the most they could give me was £1.80 - I'd paid about £19 for it.
So I'm about £25 down with nothing to show for it. Daft thing is, I did actually give the seller negative feedback, but when I checked my own account he'd given me positive for quick payment and said I was a pleasure to do business with!
If I had a contact over there who could receive my stuff for me and then send it on I'd maybe try again, but otherwise I'm sticking to the UK. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |
