no not to catch thieves trying to steel bike.

had to pick something up yesterday in town. so parked bike in loading bay/ area.

within 10 mins two community piglets and proper bobby (still have respect for proper police) are all over the bike like a fucking rash checking end can, number plate, tax disk etc. (all legal)

First piglet pipes up" is this your bike sir"

me: "yes it is, i reply."

your parked in a loading bay, what are you doing.

i'm picking something up from one of the shops in shopping centre.

"bikes aren't allowed to park in loading bays."

"but i was picking something so technical i was loading".

at this point proper bobby slopes having said nothing.

piglet then looks down at my front tyre.

"your obstracting the highway sir."

front tyre contact patch is just (by about an inch outside of white line), however bike is parked parallel to kerb.

if i see you parked like this again i'm goin to nick u instantly.

thankyou i reply i wont do it again.

two things

firstly i hope this wanker catches something really nasty and dies painfully.

secondly do Sussex police really think that talking to 32 yo like this is going make me feel more likely to help them with any other enquirys they have in the future. they can go fuck themsleves, they do fuck all for me except give me hassel Middle Finger

Whenever you see a poiceman, lie. Doesn't matter what about, just lie. Best advise I ever heard.

"Is this your bike?"
"Nope!" Mr. Green

Also remember the right to remain silent. I assume this applies even if you're not under arrest.

Yea and you're stood there in full leathers with a helmet and the only other bike in sight is a little pink push bike with a basket on the front, spokey dokeys and ribbons on the handlebars.. still gonna lie? Laughing

Last encounter with the police was a surprise. I always park off the road on the pavement outside my favoured pub, they understand why and never have a problem with it. Was saying goodbye to my lady friend with my bike warming up when the police turned up cause of some trouble inside, one of the female officers comes up to me and first thing that pops into my mind is that I'm in for a bollocking.

Turns out she rides a ZX9R and liked my Ninja, told me about her bike and race exhaust and that she didn't see mine. Laughing
