The only thing with top gear lately is they only test expensie cars, and spend most of the time doing races across Europe.

Dont get me wrong, watching a SLR or Bugatti going flat out is cool Cool

, but show me cars that I can afford. Fool around in them and show me how cool they can be, as I enjoyed the report on the Civic Type R (my car).

FWIW why dont they review bikes?

anyone who read hammond's collumn in MCN he explains why top gear dont bother with bikes. He says that its because if your not a bike person, a race bike is a race bike and evey cruiser is a harley. he says sumfing about how he rekons figures would drop if they included bikes more

It's true, ratings would drop.
I remember a few years ago when I thought all bikes looked the same, whenever they did the segment on top gear (and they did used to do a segment on bikes) I switched over. I'd happily watch it now though.

The Atom only won by about a second. I reckon an R6 would be 0.5 secs or so over the CBR, and an R1 would thrash it by a good 2 seconds.

I thought it was bloody funny.

The missus was whinging about me wanting to watch it, but she was pissing herself laughing most of the time.

I couldnt give a toss about the cars etc, i just think its bloody funny.

I know its all scripted, and most of them make no sense (for instance the car v car shooting biathlon thingy... all the time lost was for clarkson shooting at trees etc).

But i think it was bloody funny.

James in the rally car was pukker... Best minutes television ever.

James May has really grown on me. When he first started I just couldnt understand why they would have such a boring old man on there, but now he has come out of his shell, he's great!
he's such a geek but he knows it.
I really hope Hammond doesnt do anymore naff shows. That petrolheads last night was crap. Everytime I see hammond at the moment hes on a crap show (apart from top gear).
