Is that a predator mini fairing? Nice choice in carbon/black. Will look good on any naked bike.

No it doesnt at all.

I never modded my bandit as I looked at other peoples and they looked cheap and tacky.

however I dont worry about such trivial things as trying in vein to make my bike look nice. It just does. Wink

I had one similar for my GS500,

Ive been trying to find a pic of it but i cant right now.

Basically it will look relatively small when you put it on, and it will make your front forks look realy realy lanky...

Yes it will look more streetfighter than a circular headlight... but it does look a bit odd.

Try it and see,
Thumbs Up

have a look at the triumph trident in the E&M section, we had almost exactly the same top/front fairing might give you some idea on the scale of the headlamp x

I agree, i think it looks horrific. Hence why i changed it, although if you give me another 5 mins ill drag up a picture of my "Modification" of it that looks a lot better!

And no, the headlights are no better than the original, if i remember correctly they may be worse. I also had a rather nasty problem with the twin conversion. One of the bulbs inside the headlight actually started to melt the plastic surrounding it, causing the bulb to move and vibrate a lot, and then it blew.

So i would not fit another conversion like that, although hold on and ill find a picture you might be interested in.

EDIT Here:
What i did was remove the twin unit out from the bikin fairing, saw off the bottom panel of the fairing, and re-mount some new indicators where the original ones went. Then placed the bikini fairing as a surround, around my original single headlight! Was awsome, it relfected the light because it cut the top section off the lamp, so it didnt shine into car windows or go too high, and it relfected the light it cut off downwards, so you got a little bit of extra definition on the floor.

Its just a cheap modification, thats the only reason i can see people want them, apart from having a smash up and needing new headlights fast.

Thats why i got mine, i wanted a cheap modification.

Got to admit the full fairing looks so much better though...

I think those sort of headlights only suit highly modified streetfighters which usualy have a custom front headlight fairing anyway, or on supermotos. Thumbs Up Dan

I have to agree with Dodsi. Stick it back on Ebay with a starting price of £27.

The shed of a CB1 which Dad bought for £200 (and subsequently restored to sell for £1100) came with one of these 'fairings'. First thing he did to the bike was unscrew the contraption and carelessly smash it against a wall spouting 'cheap carbon-wannabe tack'. Weird, he's usually more reserved than me. The OE headlamp was put in its place with a more stylish flyscreen. It not only looked better, but gave a better headlamp, plus deflected more wind.

What you'd need instead is a mantis nosecone by pyramid. They look plastic fantastic but are pretty dear mind you, 160-200 quid depending on whether you want CF or not.

I had one on my gs125 for a while. Build quality was pish. The screws that held on the screen started rusting really quick and the lights melted the frigging holder for them.

Although that might have just been me using the wrong size of bulbs for my bike but ssh

buell style all the way! - twin head lights with the plastic flappy bit above - looks real nice.

The cagiva mito's top fairing makes a nice half fairing.

Unless you mashed the original bits keep them!

Haveing an aftermarket faring screams "been crashed and needed cheapo replacement" and will probably put buyers off 99% of the time..

Hope you're not intending to ride anywhere without streetlights because you won't be able to see where you're going the same as 99% of the aftermarket Predator type nose cones. The smaller twin headlights that everyone fits are the same, the only things worth having are the large Bates type ones.
