Well, I consider 125's to be real bikes anyway.

I just bought a lovely mint condition 2001 model RS 125, its fully de-restricted, got a proper power valve on it and its pretty damn fast
( well compared to my geared 50cc.... )

Me mums pretty pissed off about it which I feel guilty about, even lough she said I can have one.... but oh well.

Got it for £1400, only got little mods like arrow indicators but looks really nice, I only had a test ride on it round the block a few times and only got it to 2nd gear in mid revs, I love it when I get into the powerband lough Cool

Suspension seems really nice, alot more softer than my other bike, and even lough this was a pretty shitty road the bike felt like it was getting good grip from its tyres.

I havnt ridden it since the lil test ride as im not insured and I think I better keep my mum happy... even lough I might push it down the road at 1 am and give it another lil test Mr. Green

Heres a pic, what u guys think? Oh and BTW I no what I have let myself in for, I know these bikes take alot of mantanence so you dont need to tell me Laughing

Nice colour scheme... looks different! Thumbs Up

You won't have hit the powerband doing mid revs either... kicks in about 8,000RPM so watch out for it!

Yea, I think I wheel spinned it the first time I hit the powerband, since it was a wet crappy road, I just love the power, Im just a lil worried that im gona ride like a prick on it.

I really am impressed at how comfy it is, because alot of people think they do there backs in on them, mind you I have only ever riden sports bikes ( not that a 50cc can really be classed as a sports bike..... )

the day i got my RS125 and got it to my house my mum looked at in and was like "andy, that looks REALLY fast", i sort of "forgot" to tell her it looks faster than the moped!!!

have fun and take it slow, dont try to get it into the powerband stright away, they are very fast compared to a 50!!

Great bike, but for God's sake get yourself some insurance before taking it out.

I know it is exciting to get a new toy, but if you get caught it will feck you for a long time to come. You may not be at fault, but if someone hits you, it could spoil your weekend as they say.

Nice bike, i kinda want to try out a RS 125, see what all the fuss is about, ive ridden some 4t 125(test), 4t 250 (had a month)and now my CBR.

Is that paint isnt standard? Also, how many miles/kilometers has it covered?

I define real bikes as any bike apart from a moped ( 50cc )

Oh and I didnt really ask about the paint but I think he was the sort of guy who would re spray the the bike and put new stickers on it, he loves bikes and cars, was a really nice guy.

Its only covered just under 5000km! which Is why it caught my eye as it just had a full rebuild ( he thought there was a problem because of the rattling noises, turned out it was his horn speaker thing that was rattling.... he was really pissed off as he is a rather experienced mechanic, or as so he said and I can belive him I think ) and he had proof off all the engine apart from photos on his digital camera, and bills of the parts he bought, and the old piston, ect.

Nice priller, I had a harada rep for my first bike and loved it. A couple of boring questions though, what colour scheme did it used to be and what did you tell the insurance company when they asked what model it was/any modifications?

Just that insurance companies are arseholes thats all! Mad

Try and keep it as mint as it looks dude! Wink

Didnt no the original colour. and I ant sorted insurance out yet, I no with a race rep its somthing ridiculous like £1800 but I think i tried that with an 03 model, not that its gona be much cheaper.

Oh and I bet a harada rep looked the dogs!
