got it from ebay 40 quid with the lights fitted Very Happy

was an ABSOLUTE bugger to fit! had to cut away half of the original mudguard in the right places then angle grind the bungee cord crackets off the subframe.

any idea's on how to mount the numberplate? i don't wanna spend 50 off quid on a tail tidy.

just need to find someway to mount the plate and fit some flush indi's to the tray Very Happy

I too share the hatred of fitting undertrays.

Isn't there a small vertical part of the undertray, just under the lights which will allow for a number plate holder (less than a tenner)?

yeh theres a small lip, but it's only around 15mm big, i reckon fastening the plate directly to that will break it off at high speeds.

i've been hB&Q and got 2 |_ shaped bracket about 2cm x 2cm, gonna try mount the plate a bit more securely using them tomorrow Very Happy

i had cut a bit of it off but in the end 60% of the orginal came off (was ment to be about 10% Shocked )

worked out quite well as more room in the underseat storage, it took me and Davo (cheers again Davo!!) about 4 hours!!

Never broke off on my hornet. It's quite sufficient to be honest. Get a proper bracket and fasten it on, it hardly moves about at all. Thumbs Up

P.S Might want to check, does your bike have a number plate light now since you've put a new undertray on? If not, get one fitted before you MOT her.

hmmm, theres a small hole under the brake lights that shine white light down, the plate should be mounted right under the lights so will that be ok?

Nice appearance, but on a different note, everytime I removed a standard mudguard and gone out in the pouring rain, I've always ended up maving the back of my jacket covered with muck from the road.

If you position the plate under the lights in a way for them to light them up you wont need a number plate light. Well I didnt anyway.

Looking good.

Are you making a bracket for the indicators yourself?
