Not tarnishing all of them, but the amount of cyclists I see riding on the roads and ignoring red lights and stop signs, is really starting to wind me up!
They carry on as if the rules of the road don't apply to them, but sooner or later they will cause and accident, and sods law the other party involved will be the loser, cos the cyclist will claim damages and prolly win the case.
Starting to think now that the next cyclist I see jump lights etc, I'm gonna catch up (once lights change) and kick em off their bicycle!
Sorry, rant over. I'm normally a peaceful guy but everyone has their limit. ____________________ aKa: Ducky |

I keen considering if I should stick my elbow out into thier faces and let the mride into it. Then when they get up ager wiping the blood off their face simply say "Sorry, was trying to hail a taxi!"
If they kick up a stink, feel free to recommend the request police assistance, then explain that they ran a red light anyway. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

I cycle quite a lot and to be fair the same gripes that appear on this forum regarding cars, lorries, buses, etc are similar to those that appear on bicycle forums.
On a bike most of us get away with what you can whether it means breaking the law or not (I'm thinking speeding, undertaking/filtering in some instances and maybe the odd parking offense). If you're on a bicycle it's no different.
All Minority road users get short shrift from the mainstream - there are plenty of car drivers who dislike both bikers and cyclists, have a moan about them instead ____________________ Mellow Yellow

They wind me up sometimes, there are quite a few people who do it properly but you get some that piss around just like anything really.
Only reason i don't really like cyclists is becasue they always seem to be in the worst place possible when i go past, at a junction round a corner etc and i want to be able to go round it instead of slowing right down to make sure its safe to over take them. |

When I cycle on the roads, I have no problems going through red lights if there is nothing coming. Always filter through the traffic if it is going slower than me. If there's a line of stationary traffic I will go onto the pavement to ride past it.
Bottom line is that if it's safe, and beneficial for me to break road laws, I will do. That is the advantage of being on a push bike, as you have no license to lose or registration number to be written down.
By all means kick cyclists off their bikes, however when they start kicking you off your motorcycles I think you will suffer more costly damage ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |

I work in Cambridge which seems to be the cycling capital of the UK. There are many good sensible riders out there and there are as many who are c*nts.
They seem to think that they have priority over all other traffic, several times a week I have them pull right out of a cycle route into my path causing me to brake...very often without even looking.
It's like "ohh I live in cambridge and Im very clever and I will ride out in front of this car because cars are evil, plus the driver does not look vegetarian, etc etc"
They dont pay tax
or Insurance
they dont have to participate in any kind of road safety scheme
what happens if they hit my car or bike, who is going to pay for it? I am because the c*nts dont have insurance......
PS: I do cycle but normally stay away from roads |

Pavement cyclist arrest technique number 1:
As cycle approaches brace booted foot at an angle between front wheel and ground.
At the same time firmly grasp both handlebars from in front being sure to apply both brakes with your thumbs as you do so.
Ensure your head and body are off to one side so you are not struck by the cyclists head.
Ennounciate clearly "Oy, pal, I'm walking here." before walking off. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
