I do it in a van. It's a piss easy job, but you need to at least have a basic knowledge of the town/city you're delivering in. The advantage of doing it in the pizza vans is that you don't have to worry about nasty weather so much, plus you can give it the beans a bit because the pizzas aren't going to be flying all over the place. Didn't Andy do this for a job when he first joined the forum? Wasn't his custom title Pizza Boi?

I can still see the appeal on a scoot, and it still remains a very easy job. But as I say, one thing you need is a knowledge of your delivery area, to some extent. One of the hardest things as well, is picking out house numbers in the dark! Rolling Eyes

I get £6 an hour. I don't actually deliver all the time, only if I'm needed. Otherwise I serve at the kiosk, burgers and such. But pizza delivery is a much sweeter job. Very Happy

Try to keep the wheelies, burnouts and rolling stoppies to the minimum during your probationary period. Thumbs Up Mr. Green Thumbs Up

I've done Pizza delivery twice now, first time was in the car, which was quite good fun, was delivering around 30 pizzas a night.

Second time I was on the scooter, promptly quit that one after being told I was expected to where polo neck t-shirt and jean, then the boss had a go at me for wearing my bike gear whilst on the bike.

i almost lost my job as a lifeguard and was going (to try) to get a job as a delivery pizza job, sounds one of the better jobs while part-time (lifegaurding is also fun Smile )

he weather will be crap for it, but i say it would be a good job as you can work alone and not on a work place. Get some good winter gear and you be ok. Your buggered during storms though. Hey you get tips also. Good luck Matt in that Thumbs Up

hey dude, yeah i didn't stay to long doing it, as the dead lines they were setting were just impossible to meet. Although it is a good laugh mate, thrashing around on someone else bike, lol.

But watch the little scooters in the wet, they are facking leathal!!!, and also get to know the ares before you start as it anit much fun trying to find a house in the middle of know where in the rain at about 10 at night Shocked

but other then that i had a good laugh doing it but the times they were setting were hard to keep to, as you are on a bike that does 29mph lol

best of luck with it dude
