Don't know if they come on here but I'd just like to say a big thank you to the 2 guys who just helped me on the A59 put my chain back on
Also a guy on a Honda offered to help but it was already fixed so again thank you.
Wierd thing is, I was only doing about 15 mph coming to a stop at the lights downshift and heard a clunk, thinking it was a stone or similar I just ignore it. Go to pull away from the lights and I don't move!
I'm just grateful I wasn't going any quicker as it may have been nasty...
Lesson for today is make sure you keep your chains well adjusted

No it just came off.
But I only had it adjusted just over a month ago so it shouldn't be getting loose that quickly should it? ____________________ My Bikes: Piaggio NRG| Aprilia RS 125| Suzuki GSX-R 600|Yamaha Fazer Ducati 848

depends on how you ride and how you adjusted it before really, and the type of chain, if its a cheapo it won't last as long.
best thing to do is give it a quick check before every ride or every other ride only takes 2seconds with your finger. ____________________ CBR400RR the funs started - Honda MTX 125 ongoing project when i can be arsed |

Regardless of whether you should have spotted it before it happenned or not, isn't it nice that bikers will stop to help. Makes you feel all warm inside
I stopped to help a car driver who had jus deposited his car in a ditch once, and he was amazed that a biker had stopped to offer help. Not a lot I could do apart from make sure he was OK, and offer use of my phone, but he was grateful, so it was worth it. |
