Posted: 20:18 - 15 Feb 2006 Post subject: Never leave your Disklock on again! |
 |
|
To my knowlage this hasnt been posted here before. I know myself that if i didnt make a habit of putting it on/taking it off EVERY time i get off the bike, i'd forget my disklock was on and drive away, despite the flourescant yellow sticker between my clock that reminds me. Personally i think this is a brilliant idea, but will probably be overpriced. The video is marketing of a removable footpeg for your bike (gear lever side) that doubles up as a disk lock! Ensuring that you cant ride away without it!

Hi,
I have Zena alarmed disc lock which goes off as soon as you move the bike.
I was using a Ulock through the wheel and got it stuck, I had to get the local bike shop to go free it off
Regards

When you buy a disklock, you get a pouch to keep it in (usually).
Keep the lock in that, and when you put it on, put your ignition keys (and lock keys, mine are on a seprate keyring) in the pouch
Can't say I've ever rode off with mine attached, what I've said above seems to work for me.

To my knowledge I haven't left it on. It's really force of habit for me too, I always check to see if it's there, and my mind has saved me £52. Not a bad saving.
Alternatively I would use that bungee thing, if I had a brief stint of amnesia or something |
