You'll find you often get such replies to many such things that people find worthy of contempt.
Such as relationship problems, tarty bikers (err ), chav stylings etc. |

I personally have no such negative attitude towards ANY 50cc rider. I was one myself once (albeit, many, many years ago ).
But, unfortunately, in the town where I live, there are quite a few young 50cc riders who are absolute arseholes. And I mean ABSOLUTE ARSEHOLES
They're so up their own arses that they think they own the road. They ride around on 'L' plates, remove the baffles from their exhausts thinking the bike sounds really 'big'. When they're riding the bike it DOES sound like a bigger bike to them, when in actual fact it really does sound just like a lawnmower with no exhaust at all when they pass by your house. Added to this, they then weave all over the road, because they think this will impress all the girls they go past.
Unfortunately for you, there are too many twatish 50cc riders on the roads. Which results in a general opinion that ALL moped riders are cnuts
When I follow riders like that, I have the same opinion.
But, when I follow a responsible 50cc rider, they have my full respect, whether I'm in my car or on my bike. But then, I'm an old bloke.

No. We're not cleverer. Just older and far more wiser in my case
You're young, egotistical, full of testosterone and inexperienced. That's life. Live with it.
Have I got hold of the wrong end of the stick here?
PS: Just for Simon...
This is probably just another pointless reply

people can be a little harsh, but hey. they'll get over it and make their way into the community. an gain respect by earning it.
people can sometimes be harsh, but sometimes its deserved.

Its a balance between being entertaining and being unpleasant just for the sake of it.
A lot of people find the rudeness on bcf amusing, but most of the time I dont. Sometimes I do though.
I find it particularly unpleasant if someone is an easy target or an underdog in some way.
i think it does put off a few new ppl who you dont see again. Sometimes they realise that the individual who was unpleasant to them is a cunt to everyone by habit as a substitute for having a personality or having anything interesting to say.
Sometimes criticism is valid even if a bit annoying tho.
For example cleverer may be in the american dictionary but you wont find it in an english dictionary and we are english so we shouldnt start abusing the language like americans.

We could argue all day about the differences between American and British English, or the fact that your entire post didn't contain a single apostrophe, but that would be pedantic, wouldn't it?
The point is, in threads such as the "hottest 50cc" thread, there isn't any criticism (constructive or otherwise) coming from the older, bigger, harder, cooler members, just stupidity.

Oh please.
You want me to believe that you posted a picture of the C50, with nothing else in the post, because you were genuinely taking part in the topic? If you don't have anything useful to say, don't say it at all.
I don't want this to turn into a big argument, so that's all I want to say on the subject. I think I've made my point. ____________________ Yamaha TDM 850 |

I don't think it's a fair reflection of BCF to say that 50cc riders are always picked on. There's 125 riders too... ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |
