ok bit of a problem..
my bike has started cutting out.. it will run fine then just cut out. the engin the lights the lot cuts out, then it will spring back..
i can also have it running then when i shake the bike it cuts out, like there is a lose wire or something. but when it comes back to life its fine
i dont know wether its just all the snow and wet we have been having or what, because its be stud out side college in snow and rain all week
its pi#sing me off though beacuse i have skegy coming up this friday..  ____________________ .......... PLOD ............ zx636 2004 |

Try checking all your connections. Take them all apart, spray some WD in there and try that. May just be a loose connection somewhere, or a bit of water has got in.

Definitely sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere. Was thinking it may be a charging problem and it was draining the battery, but if it starts OK it probably isn't.
Best to just go through and check all your connections, make sure there's nothing loose and give them a clean up.

A multimeter or continuity tester would make your job far more simple. Don't try measuring anything in the HT portion while it is running however.  ____________________ I must not be a troll...

Could it maybe be anything to do with when you replaced the CDI? Maybe you left a connection loose ?

well today its dead,,,,
no power at all, not even the little LED's..
jordan talked me though a few things but there not the problem so off to the garage it gos..
just hope its nothing bad i need the bike for skegy this friday, other wise dose any one want a £78 3 night stay with yoko and uncle..  ____________________ .......... PLOD ............ zx636 2004 |
