Things dimming at low revs are probably due to a dodgy battery. It may just need charging; Lidls are selling trickle chargers for £5 today, so get down there sharpish and see if they have any left. If charging it up overnight doesn't solve it, you probably need a new one.

If moving the bulk of wires about seems to stop this cutting out happening, it's probably a dodgy connection somewhere along the line, or possibly corroded wire(s), or something earthing on the frame, who knows? It's time to whip of somefairings and have a look around, see if anything looks amiss. If it does, it's best to get it down to a mechanics so they can say what exactly is wrong with it.

A trickle charger keeps your battery at top charge all the time.

Not sure about the ones at Lidl but mine has a connector that you can leave on the bike all the time. That way you just plug your charger into it. You could knock sommat up to fit on your bike if the Lidl ones dont have them (and at 5 quid it aint bad)

If you ride it every day I wouldnt have thought you would need one. I got mine because I only use the bike a couple of times a week.

thanks MR.everready

As said already you leave the battery in the bike and connect it up when you put the bike away for the night or longer. You then know that when you come to ride it again it will start ok.

If you stay in a flat and the bike is out in the open then that is a different kettle of fish all together. Laughing

Looks like you'll have to take the battery out and charge it inside, nothing else you can do.
