How fast are you going over the bumps? It could be the forks bottoming out, I don't know though. I never had any problems with the plastics hitting as I went over bumps on the NSR but I did tend to slow down for them |

Didn't mean for potholes. Main roads are normally ok for no large holes in them
What speed do you normally go over speed bumps at? |

When the V Raptor was in hospital the Hippy had a hire bike. We spent a while trying to work out what the horrendous banging crash was when we hit rough patches of road.
Turned out to be the lock they provided banging about under the seat

Thanks I'll check those suggestions out.
The sound is plastic (if that makes sense), so the mud guard could be a good one.
I was hitting some speed bumps hard (40 kmh), so I may need to calm down a bit more ____________________ Honda NSR125 - April 2003 - Present

That might well be why then
Remember, podge managed to write his scooter off by going over a speed bump too fast |

Ask him. I thought he hit it too fast, landed on back wheel, and went over backward. I don't know 100% though
And its the same overall, hitting speed bumps too fast, be it on one wheel or two |

I never used to hear a thwak until thursday, just going along the road then heard bust one major one, really loudly, then I didn't hear that noise till the AA guy was wheeling the bike into my drive and where the fairing had been annihilated it was gettin caught in the spokes of the front wheel!!!
Sorry for the morbid humour but I am on strong drugs at the mo!
