If were intending on doing some BIG miles, maybe even europe, and you had to have an all rounder to get you to work, and do the trip, which would you choose from the above?
The bike will have to be as reliable as possible, comfy for the miles, and still cheap enough to run so I won't have to sell the house
Just give your honest opipion on which you think would be best.

Didn't really think of the thundercat. Can they really be had that cheap in good nick? Would seem to be a proper bargain if so.
Quick search on www.biketrader.co.uk Third bike on the list, £1499, and only 9000 miles! Only 18 miles away aswell! ____________________ "THOSE WHO RISK NOTHING, DO NOTHING, ACHIEVE NOTHING, BECOME NOTHING." |

for me it's a tough choice between the Thundercat and the ZZR.
there's more luggage and tourey stuff available for the ZZR, sinc it was designed as a sports-tourer, whereas the Thundercat became a sports-tourer when the R6 came out (as so often hapens with sprot bikes.. when something faster and lighter comes out, they sell the old model as a "sports tourer")
I have a thunderace, and was toying with the idea of trading that in for something like a VFR, or ZZR11, but at the end of the day, I like the more sporty attributes of the 'ace so bought an FJR as well, to give me both ends of the spectrum.
I'd say ZZR.

GSX600F. But then I would say that wouldn't I? I'm coming up to 20K in the past 12 months on mine, and the only problems I've encountered have been owner-induced.
Oh, and you can ignore the test pilots, they know nothing... ____________________ "That's it. You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college."

The ZZR is aparently just as good, although they are smaller, which is why I decided against one. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

I have always been tempted by the ZZR, it is more than quick enough, can be had silly cheap, seems to stand up to abuse pretty well, and does all I want it to do.
I am surprised to see the Thundercat being so popular, seen as very few people actually cough up the hard earned to buy one!
Looking at getting one in the middle of next winter when the prices have dropped a bit so, I think some test rides will be due before the end of the year!
