Hi, just wondered how many times people have come off Very Happy I have come off three times in eight years. Which i dont think is too bad. Once on ice around a corner, once on snow when i pulled the front brake like an idiot Neutral and once coming up to an island and hit a patch of oil or diesel and went skidding out in to the middle of the road (this was my worst one , was three years ago and my knee still hurts from time to time Laughing ). Have also ran in to the back of a car and a white van man Very Happy Let us know your tales Very Happy Very Happy Thumbs Up

Never come off in seven yrs of daily travel to work and back. (5,432,563 close encounters... Wink )

Been hit twice (once by pedestrian (ran into path Middle Finger )and once by car (hit and run Middle Finger )but stayed on bike both times.

Came off twice on the track though (overcooked it once, and leaky coolant second time). Mr. Green

Dropped the bike once on a icy day turning into a petrol station, was only doing about 5mph and broke a panel. Luckly i was wearing my riding trousers with the armoured knees other wise im sure i would have had a sore knee for a few weeks.

Can’t remember exactly to many times, without counting the trial riding ones with the CRM. My wife calls me a crash dummy. Fortunately haven’t come off with the CBR 600 yet. Mr. Green

haha yestersday on the first day of my das! bout 15mph, mounted the kerb on the outside of a roundabout and took their learner 125 offroad because I hesitated at a turnoff after getting confused. Instructor did say "come off" as in come off the roundabout. Just I took a different approach Very Happy Soon as I realised what a twat I was for trying to change direction at the last second it was too late!

Lucky myself nor the bike was damaged.. Thumbs Up

Never been off yet - but saying that I've only been riding for less than a year, and don't have many miles behind me yet....

Had a bit of a heart stopping moment a few years ago when trying to help a mate wheel his new bike indoors.... I wasn't used to handling bikes at the time, but basically I almost dropped his new VRod less than a week after he got it Shocked Rolling Eyes

I refuse to answer the poll, as it would be tempting fate.

I have never come of YET, *Touch wood" and in that last sentance yet is the key word.

I have nearly overcooked it once or twice through sheer hooligan style riding Twisted Evil but not come off yet.

However I did drop my brand spanking new VL Intruder during the CBT in the car park, i was gutted. My brand new VL with no miles on it and latest reg plate out attached and I go and throw it down the car park. *DOH* is this classed as a crash??

I crashed my TZR50 into my mates RX50 and i came off, i hit some gravel and fell off.
On my NSR i dropped it when i locked up the front wheel after a car pulled out in front of me. Probably better than hitting the car though.

Not yet, though I've only done about 1500 miles on a bike. Did get hit by a car though after about 200 miles, but managed not to part company with the bike - hit from behind at a roundabout, think it was my first, and only, wheelie Smile

Erm, slightly limited options.

I reckon getting on for maybe 40-50 times on the road. More if you count on track.
A bit over 8 years riding.
Dirt riding doesn't count because you're /meant/ to crash!

Not quite up to Rossi's standards, but do like to play at racing (on the track, that is, I hasten to add Smile ).

Moped (Nov 6th 2004 - Nov 3rd 2005)
3 crashes
All minor slips and stuff on wet surfaces

NSR (Nov 6th 2005 - April 7th 2006)
4 crashes
First crash - car knocked me off on a roundabout
Second crash - binned it on a speedbump
Third crash - 4x4 panic braked in a dust cloud, hit the back of him at about 5mph
Fourth crash - Car rear-ended me whilst I was stationary

7 "bad" crashes in all, countless off road and messing about.

I haven't had a crash or drop (yet) in about four years and maybe 5,000 miles, but that's because I'm a wuss Smile I suppose you make your own luck to a certain extent though.

a few times in the last few years, mostly at slow speed in wet car parks.

only one seriousish off.
