Isn't it about time you cut your losses and just bought a bike that already works. |

I don't think your going to get a decent answer on here, try searching the net for motorbike wiring.
If the bike has points then its simply a matter of attaching the coil live to the battery and the negative to the points out. This is a total loss system so the battery will go flat eventually. If you have a regulator then the live will feed off that and you can charge the battery.
Electronic systems are a different thing all together try https://www.btinternet.com/~jhpart/bkns125a.htm ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

everyone here is right you have no chance of making this fit, even the same bike, but a different model often have incompatible cdi units, bercause of different amounts of advance etc. just try and get hold of a cdi for your bike keep checking ebay etc. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

it won't work cos its from a four stroke bike. Your bike is a two stroke, (and incidentally an RG125 *not* an RGV125).
Hence if you could bodge it to fit, you'd only get a spark every four engine strokes which would be a fast path to flooding and knackering the engine.
Don't do it. If you don't understand that a four stroke CDI won't fit a two stroke bike, then you need to learn a helluva lot more about bikes before you undertake such a task.
Plus, as a slight aside if "I have this hotwired bike, how can I get it started?" isn't you trying to look cool... then... ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |
