You may find a Tuono a bit vicious as its more or less a Mille with a bar raiser fitted (bit like a nice GSXR streetfighter ).
Speed triple would be a good choice, or maybe a SV1000 but you may find a SV a bit timid in the engine department after the bandit. ____________________ GSXR1100J |

I like the idea of viscious power delevery The thing thats holding me back on the tuono is the build quality, The speed tripple looks like it might be the winner. I'm not too fussed on the sv1000. i believe they are a bit soft both on the power and handling and i dont want to have to start spending on the new bike like i have this one. Did look at putting flat bars onto a TL 1000 but again I'd have to start sorting the suspension out to do what i want to do with it. (By the way i do spend a bit of time on the track)

The tuono holds up well, it uses another manufacturer's engine, a polaris if i'm not mistaken - i may be totally wrong on thet though. They had a recall last year about the swingarms cracking, so if you buy used, make sure that's been addressed. Personally, i think the old tuonos liik shite anyway, so i'd hope you're buying new.
Thought about a big V-twin? I'm getting along SV1000 lines here. Could be worth exploring.

They are a REALLY nice bike, RSV engine and top notch suspension so they have no problems keeping up with 1ltr sports. Only downside is if you drop one...... |
