 |
|
I always have the problem that when I meet up with mates, have dinner with parents or something like that after a ride I'm really rushing and have problems listening to people and standing still.
It's hard to come back to normal life after going at 100 round country roads. So any ways you calm down after a ride? I find I usually have a rolly but I just get the shakes. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead

On the contrary, after a good ride and a good adrenalin rush, I am so calm and happy I can listen to anyone say any thing, I just don care |

Strangely I do tend to. Most places I go seem to be at the end of fast routes. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead

Take five or ten minutes just taking off your kit and having a drink.
It usually takes me a while to get my bike in the garage too...
That being said, I'm rarely calm. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

After trying out top speed on the bike this morning (only hit 100mph, but popped a little wheelie too ) I got in all hot and sweaty, so sat down on the sofa with a cup of tea and a few chocolate digestives.
I wouldn't like to really ride like a maniac if I was going to dinner or something. There's nothing worse than arriving in a hot restaurant, already hot. |

I do drive within my abilities but only just, otherwise I wouldn't progress. Not saying I can corner like a pro cos I can't but always fun to test your self.

I'm usually a bit 'wired' when i get back after a ride.
It's good to take a slow 30mph route back home along the seafront and through the village to cool down a bit before getting home into the warmth and wrestling to get your gear off.
I like the feeling of sitting down afterwards just staring out of the window, I sort of feel relaxed but hyped up at the same time.
I'll sit there for a bit, have a cup of tea and then when it wears off I'll wreslte the gear back on and go out again. it's quite a worrying pattern of behaviour! ____________________ GSXR600 |

After a decent ride it's always fun to sit down and chill out with a nice big joint. ____________________ Go back to bed - You have no rights - "Streetfighters ~ Mainstream motorcycling's crackwhore sister." |

Big hill coming down into my road, about a mile of downhill straight. If it was quiet and hot, I'd stand on the pegs and unzip my jacket, to get a bit of cold air going for the last few minutes.
Almost threw me off when I did it with an unbalanced front wheel, mind ____________________ ::'04 Yamaha Jog:: || ::'01 Honda NSR:: || ::'00 Suzuki Swift:: || ::'89 Swift GTi:: || ::'96 Swift Poverty Spec:: || ::'92 Swift GTi:: |

Last year I found I was having this problem. Used to have a really good and for me relaxing ride home. Then park up the bike, get inside, get the gear off and start snapping at people and being really irritable.
I came to the conclusion that it was because I was still 'focused' from the ride. I guess I must concentrate a bit.
So now when I'm on my way home I do let myself relax. After putting the bike away I tell myself to breathe and leave the ride behind. Then I'm more sociable (some may say by not much though )

This actually happens to me
When I get to work, I start straight away and I feel that I am burning, light headed and sick. Its hard to 'come down' after a nice ride ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

i H8 it when it wears off!
funny when im talking to someone just after & im all hyper
cause my last few roads b4 home i GIVE IT SOME! because i know im about to get off but love knowing ALL my gearing on the last corners & LEANING it HARD!
tbh i cant be arsed with LATE night riding tho simply cause off the bother you get in london from feds! & drunk pedestrains spilling out on the roads OR the shitty NON engilsh mini cabbys! but if im already out & coming back then its nice if theres no bother & if its empty then......well...... ____________________ GSXR750
