Was fuckin around earlier and decided to try and record a kneedown. Wearing textiles so didnt do them for too long, didnt want to destroy them.

Camera quality isnt great, don't know how to make the file size any smaller. 1:13 long.

Enjoy... Eh?

EDIT: Added a small wheelie as well. No point in making another thread for something so small.
Only one in every so often turns out like that Razz

Especially like the casual slide down out of view - then the bike sliding on its side inwards from the slide...

Mamoth wheely though, my mate has one of those bikes - never htought you could do taht on one Shocked

My mate used to do that in the car park with his MT5 and he ended up on his arse just like you.

It is, I am and it's down 1 tooth on the front, doesnt make much difference.

Try leaning back a bit with the wheelies - you can see your body stays upright, meaning more weight over the front.

(Obviously this will mean a lower balance point, so becareful Smile ).

I can often be seen doing this when I forget.

I wasnt riding sensibly.
It was slippy with grit and salt on the road and the back wheel had spinned a few times just pulling away fairly sedately at 20mph. So when rushing to a shop before it shut to get something to fix a leak in my house, I should have not been going 20mph above the limit past standing traffic in a lane that turned out to be for traffic turning right, not going straight on as I had thought.

The morales from my crash are dont do things in a rush. Concentrate on the road. Dont assume the road layout is the same as when you last went on that road. If the back wheel is slipping, it wont take much for the front wheel to slip either.

Also if you bought a bike for winter use and general going to the shops, use that instead of your pride and joy when the roads are nasty.

Mostly I am sensible, maybe I just dont get enough practise at riding like a twat.

The irony was that I didnt get to the shop in time anyway, and i had a bit of pipework in my house to fix the leak anyway, so I hadnt even needed to leave my house.

Maybe im just a safety nazi then cos i wdnt want to try doing something with a high likelihood of foot breakage.

In the same way cogheads broken collarbone has put me off the idea of going round a roundabout to get my knee down.

I way up the benefit against the risk and I guess its worth it for some, but not for me.

I don't believe you're accurately judging risks, which was perhaps my point. The TT rider in question was riding sensibly and hurt himself and his bike, so perhaps you shouldn't do that as well? Smile

The roundabout for knee down is an obvious one - something that really isn't very dangerous if you're sensible about it (even if you do crash), same as a lot of other bike riding

I dont know about this sensible tt600 rider and what he was doing, but i know that I wont be repeating what I did to damge my bike.

Im sure that it is possible to do knee downs and 125 wheelies safely if you know what you are doing. Im more concerned about what happens if you dont know what you are doing.

I doubt I will try 125 wheelies, but I may try roundabout kneedowns at some point when i have forgotten about cogheads collar bone. I dont feel the need to do it though.
