I would seriously suggest you at least get some test rides on some other 125s to compare. The specs all add up to suggestin the bike is big heavy and slow.

Also remember witha a 2 stroke 125 you have the possibility of derestricting it and getting twice or more the power, if and when you get bored of the bike. Much cheaper than buyinga new bike.

er...you'll find it's pretty heavy if your weaklin, otherwise it's pretty good, nice to have a fairing aswell and err...well hope you like it, i sometimes do when the cityfly is off the roads or i'm bored of it (not often) Cool Had 75 a couple times on the dials Evil or Very Mad

Make sure it's in Silver too, looks alright in that colour, also check the stickers haven't crinkled up, that's the problem we have with ours although it's only a year old and 230 miles on it Razz

that reminds me, i still need to re-adjust the carb thing to see if it stops stalling, I need to keep the thing on some revs when i come to junctions and such or the revs will just crash to the floor:-P

well i'm sure the person whom is purchasing such a fine piece of machinery is just LEARNING after all...give everyone a 180mph, 0-62 in 2.9 second missile ha! I sure hope you would be one of the first to get torn to bits by a learner exploiting the bike's potential...what i ment was it's heavy as in moving it around the garage basically under man power. Rolling Eyes

Sorry for being ratty or whatever, i just killed my fishes Sad

A friend has one, & has had no complaints. Right enough their heavier than most of our sexy little NSR`s, but he stuck a Scorpion can on his & the little four stroke sounds great. There fairly reliable aswell, being a Honda & all.

Well, they are heavy, but go with my mature age more than an NSR, the engine is less whiney too. BTW this years blue colour is the one im going for and its nice. I have not seen the silver in the flesh but looks nice.

If you really, really are sure you won't want any more power, and have plenty of money to spend, then you might as well go for it.

If not there's lots of cheaper bikes that will do the same thing or more.

I saw one in Portslade the other week, a silver one, I thought it was a 600 or somin until it got nearer and I saw the engine and heard it. It's quite and rather than a thump you get a loud 'rattle' Laughing but yeah it don't sound or look bad for a 125, but if you're old enough I'd say get something bigger.

It's okay but what's "sound nice" to you? Sounding nice to me is a Formula 1 car at full throttle, compared to that it's hardly anything but it is alright, sounds as though there is a silent hint of grunt to it.

I'm interested in this scorpion can thing? any more information on this? Is it designed for the Varadero? etc Confused

Yeah they sound really quiet (at least with standard can on). A mate of mine had one but he decided it wasn't really what he wanted as it wasnt fast enough. In the end he bought a KTM 125EXC and made it road legal (ish, ignore the knobbly tyres, 30bhp illegal can etc). The KTM lasted about 3months of road use before it went 'bang' though. Confused

On the plus side, the Varadero looks bigger than it really is, is reliable and apparently comfy. Smile
