Right, looking for bike insurance at the moment as my first bikes due to be delivered on wednesday .
Does anyone here use www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk? their prices seem good but do they turn rubbish as soon as you have over any money?
Any other reccomendations for insurance companies?

You have to ring round. I was sceptical about how effective this would be, but it really worked wonders. I started getting quotes of £800 TPO, and after 2 sessions of about 2 hours each, I was down to £460 TPFT. I ended up going with Carole Nash, but Bennets and Motorcycle Direct were pretty good as well. |

Holy moly! I had no idea that your job makes that much difference. Which occupations get you the cheapest insurance??
The same thing has happened to me though in that the quick quote has been 200 less than the full quote, more than once. I thought it was a combination of little things like I park the bike on the road, but I always put my job on those forms as Administration Assistant. Could this cost me money?
Similarly, I didn't think karma could go that low without actual ratings from other users. I couldn't see any in your posts.
It appears I am ignorant today

The post ratings system didn't exist back in 2003 when I was previously posting though, just spelling, grammar and punctuation I believe. I could be and often am wrong though.
Generally consultants are people who get paid loads to go out on client sites for days at a time and charge the client lots, generally rushing to help fix clients machines the minute they shout therefore more likely to have an accident that's their fault, unfortunatley as most of the people at my work do go out regulally all of us have it consultant on our contract. No idea which ones are cheap though, I'd expect Administration Assistant should be one of the lower ones but not sure to be honest.
Lying on your insurance is never a good idea though as it has a nasty habbit of biting your bum if you have an accident whether it's your fault or not. |

I think insurance is so variable person to person, recommending companies really is pointless. Plus prices change every 2months, so a company that was cheap lastyear may not be this year.
However if you want broker recommendations, then I took out my first policy with Directchoice, and was paying £400 tpft on my TZR125 at 18. Though when i came to upgrade to a 400 4months later they wanted £1500 so I ended up cancelling the policy |
