what do you get out of it and does it go right in to the red on the rev counter, but saying that it might not be restricted and could be something else. on most restristor kits its four washers which go in the air intakes (i think thats right). the only real way of telling is either dyno or just have look to see if they are there.

a good place for advice for 400's is 400greybike.co.uk alot of them come on here too.

Derestricted I'd expect to see 120mph without too many problems.

Restricted I'd say you'd see about 100mph flat out, and you might find it doesn't pull top gear very well.

It'll be 4 metal washers in the inlet manifold, i.e 'behind' your carbs.

I think our bandits must have strange gearing, because they do seem to have a low top speed for their power.

Either way, restricted should see around a ton full speed.

A VFR400 will do 135mph true speed, So I'd expect 120ish, indicated at least from the bandit.

Yes, it should go faster than that.

Is it firing on all cylinders? Are all the downpipes hot while the engine's running?

mine sits at 70-75 quite hapily.

I saw 110 a few times on my Bandit 400, with around 12-12,500 showing on the tacho. I reckon it'll be good for an indicated 115-120.
