Hi there guys,

I recently bought a lid off them on ebay and prior to purchasing it, i contact them to enquire about their stock. I then asked if they had the Shoei XR1000 in white, which they confirmed they did, in my size.

Ordered my lid online, fair dues to them, it came within 1 day of payment clearing, so i was as giddy as a kid at christmas, opened the box and realised - What the fo'schizzle! - Black! With BLUE! - My bike's RED!

I've sent an email to complain about this error and seeing that the delivery dude already went after i opened the lid, i thougjt, i might as well use it seeing that it's here.

I don't know if any of you have dealt with them online and what your outcome was, but with the fast shipping etc, you'd also expect the product you specified - i sent them an email to confirm the colour and also mentioned it in my paypal notes AND phoned them up, so what more can you expect. I guess that's the disadvantage when you're buying gear online - i've asked for some sort of compensation.

Meanwhile, i've found the lid to fit me nicely, and that it's ultra light - much lighter than my old HJC and MUCH MUCH MUCH lighter than my KBC AR1 -now on ebay. The pinlock works a treat, vents work, it's not that noisy, and i'm now waiting on a black visor so i can look the dogs nads. Here's the lid + my leathers to give an impression of colour coordination. I'd say better than if it was white eh? What do you guys reckon?

Most of my lids are like that. The S fits me better but that's just an M with thicker padding so my cheeks will cause my eyes to recess. I don't feel any discomfort with it whatsoever and i can thoroughly recommend it as a good lid. One to keep. Now hunting for a black visor

They won't accept it back. You've used it.

To be honest now, the more i look at the lid, the more i'm satisfied with it. I've sent them a polite e-mail trying to see if i can get anything in terms of compensation from their mistake; something like a 5 quid voucher or summat at J&S. It also saves me and them the postage costs. I've just come to the conclusion that my lid will look cooler with a black visor on it than if it were white. Most peoples opinions seem to be that this cock up has gone the right way.

Maybe they have the motorcycling equivalent of trinny and susannah, and decided your coordintion for you.

Either that or they realised "who the fuck buys a white lid!?"Laughing They must have thought the white lid request was a joke!!
