Mobile phone unlocking - free

Just upgrading to two new phones, so sold the old ones on EBay (for 60 quid each - better than the 15 quid that carphone whorehouse give on trade ins).

Anyway, just in case it's of interest to anyone, found these sites that will give you unlocking codes for your phone, so you can use any network SIM.

I used the first one.

Use codes 7, 5 and 1 as required.

Have a look at the attached forum for more information on which GEN to use (the 6230 for example uses ASIC6). Don't just piss about as you only get 5 attempts at unlocking with a code - if you bugger it up the only solution is with a cable, and a crisp tenner to a man in the market.

Or download the program and run it at home, which works out which settings to use, depending on your phone.

Sorry mate, I just followed the instructions on the first (Nokia) one. Afraid I'm no expert.
