I couldnt have afford to pay the money if I didnt allready have it set aside due too all the money I have had to spent recently.

I dont have a job

I am at university full time.

If I had no intention of giving it do you not think I would have spent it within the 10 month period I had kept it aside awaiting a place to send it.

My sence of direction is shit and Like I said, I have been to andy C's house but I have no idea how to get back to there.

Sort of. I use a 3.2L from a 4 liter can when I change the oil, then, over the next 4000 miles I have to put the remaining 0.8L in. By the time I've finished the last of the 0.8L it's time for an oil change anyway, So no great shakes. I Just keep and eye on the level (and I'm not exactly what you'd call gentle with the throttle either).

anyone know what causes them to use oil? ive never quite understood how some bikes regardless of piston rings or valve guide oil seal condition use a certain amount of oil. Also my mate had an older thunderace and reckoned that he could deck the pegs out too easily. Is this still a problem on the later ones?

The problem lies with the bore, yamaha aparently messed up the boring of the cyclinders on pre 2000 models so its a silghty oval bore, the only fix is to bore the cyclinder out to 1040cc and fit a wesco piston kit, but really is,nt a problem as long as you top the oil up when the oil level light comes on.
