yea we have all been there, i used to think the same and even now im bikeless, in debt again to get another bike, my £2.5k bike wrote off by some tw*t women, 4 weeks in hospital, summer ruined and lots of pain and having to do another year at college as cant do my exams next month.

But yet im going to get another bike and noone understands and to some extent i dont either but i just love bike and feel like a part of my life wouldnt be complete without it.

i would say stop stressing and ride the bike more, dont worry about filters and other stuff to much (though chain is important to do!!) when i started i didnt have a clue and only last month i got my first set of "proper" tools!!

Dont give up and a bigger bike is what you need i think Thumbs Up go for your DAS ASAP

you are in liverpool. shootings arent that rare wherever you are

Lol... Can you be more specific?

i think the only bit of liverpool that doesnt have shootings is on the other side of the river and some say thats not even liverpool really

however in toxteth they tend to shoot to kill

as long as you dont mix with those type of people, you will be fine, oh and if someone trys to rob you dont resist too much

liverpool is the only place i have heard of where the lazy burglars barge into your house, threaten you and get you to carry your own stuff to their car

I heard that in 1994 when I first moved there. It was one of the studenty areas. Smithdown Lane maybe. Burglars like students as in a shared house, every room has a tv, as each student has a tv in thier room. Also Scallies prefer to rob someone from down south rather than from one of their own who might turn out to know someone who could get them back.

As long as you have insurance the burglars are actually doing you a favour. I always managed to get nicer stuff off the insurance than was nicked in the first place. Funny that.

crime is rare

it happens

my original point was that a building may have had some shootings near it, but so have many buildings, especially in liverpool

it is very unlikely that you will be shot

smithdown lane is not the same as smithdown road

My original point was that the building that the course is held in is a violent one, I've heard many things about attacks on students in that building, and I've been in, and it's not nice.

Your lean runnign problem.. is your filter in propperly, is the airbox rubber cliped on securely to the carb.. its probably somehting veyr simple, get some wd40 with the straw spray anywhere theres a join on the air intakes, carefully, while its running, a rise in revs =your leak.

Keep an eye out for a project cg, they come up everysoften in need of attention.. this way you have a donor bike + you can take bits off and snap stuff to your hearts content..

It gets easyer, i started with a cg, and a socket set, not theres only a handfull of jobs i'v not done on my bike or spares for it..

Main things, be patient, check what your doing, if your not sure check again as many times as it takes.. allways use the right tool for the job, if your expecting resistance, wd40/plusgas/freeze&release and occasionaly heat can help, work at it slowly, ive spent 40minutes on stubborn bolts before, but got them out in the end without snaping/rounding.

Defenately agree with spending money on going to meets, even rallys, not shiney things, they count for bugger all against the worlds of bikeing fun out there to be had Thumbs Up
