Do you mean journey, holiday or what? The most i've done in one 'trip' was about 1350 miles in just over 24 hours, longest non stop between fuel stops was 243miles on a moto-guzzi.
A mate did 1750 miles from south france to the north of scotland in 23 hours once.

Cool

Its not that far by the direct route though.
About 700 miles from Lake Constance (further than Luxembourg) to the Channel then another 400 or so to York, cos I did that in a 24 hour run, did sleepo a bit in the middle of itthough.

getyerkneedown that sounds too quick, as would be an average of 100mph.

TonyYZF, that meant your friend had an average of 76mph, impressive IMO.

I've only ever done about 200miles in one sitting.

Left Luxembourg City Centre at 8am. By 10.15pm i was sat in my folks living room with a cuppa and a fag.

I was flat out all the time in Europe, and doing about 120-130 on the British Motorways.

Oh Yeah, this was all on a CBR400 NC29 too - i have photos to back it up.

I think gay people really shouldn't abreviate cigarette. Gives the wrong idea.

And if that's true, then I suppose I'm impressed ish, but if you ride like that regularly, you'll lose your licence before long.

Actually that's possible as remember the clocks change. Luxemburg is 1 hour ahead so by going back to the UK he would have gained an hour. Still moving like a bullet stuck in the backside of a speeding bat from hell though Cool

Didn't say it wasn't possible. Just that 130 on British motorways isn't particularly clever.

I smell bullshit...

There is NO way on this earth you can sustain such a pace on a public road for such a length of time.

we did 725 miles on a Blackbird from Assen to Manchester in 10 hrs and i was pushing it.
Take into account fuel stops, at those speeds there will be a few, which i estimate there to be 4 on my trip.... I think a little economical with the truth or maybe you have a KMH speedo.

We've now ascertained that he did in fact manage it, taking into account the hour gained from GMT. He suffered the consequences though and now doesn't get his licence back until 2008 Laughing

Yes, but that's not the point, if you have the "130mph for 12 hours is fine" mindset, it's only a matter of time.

And also as I pointed out it isn't 1400 miles anyway unless he detoured via Germany.

From luxembourg, down to Metz (france) across to Reims, then straight back up to Calais.. and then M20, M25, M1, A1M, A64 up to York. By my calculations, it wasnt far from 1400miles on my clock.

I left at 8am Luxembourg time, got back into york at 10.15ish Pm.

Only time i stopped for longer than 5 mins was on the ferry.

Fuel stops were every 55miles, as i was flat stick all the way.

Dont beleive me if you dont want to, but at the end of the day, i know i did it.
