Mate, i have to contend with that sort of road discipline this summer. 3 months of WTF and horns everywhere. I'm definately not riding ANY bike when i'm in indonesia, and definately WILL not go on the back of anybody's bike without adequate protection. On my slow speed offs, i know how much it hurts with the right gear, let alone without any protective gear! I'm stuffed with no private transport of my own cos i DON'T want to wreck my dad's beloved X-trail that all his mates speak so highly of.

AFAIK, that could be any street in Jakarta too,

its not as bad as you think the magic roundabout - been round it a few times in the lorry - you just head in the general direction you want and its easy to get the right exit

the plough roundabout in Hemel Hempstead is a good one too - also called the magic roundabout by locals

I went India for two weeks earlier this year and it's like that from about 7:00am-11:00pm every day, crossing from one side of the street to the next is like playing frogger all over again, except this time it's you that goes splat and not some animated frog.

They are insane when using the horns of their vehicles, it's all you here all day long. Going by the state of many of their vehicles whilst i was over there, i think if your horn works you naturally pass your MoT.

Same for the test, as long as you sound your horn every 10 seconds at every, junction, turning etc i'd say you pass .

You notice how a sort of pressure of vehicles edging forward is all that dictates right of way.
At one point a white car does actually contact a bike's front wheel and the bike inches back.
It's whatever you're used to really.
Probably the Indian drivers would freak out tring to cope with the mad UK roundabouts.
