Im sitting here expecting the phone to ring any second now.

My OH is 37 weeks into her pregnancy now, and today she has been really sick, and has pains in her back.

According to family, thats a sign that labour is going to start pretty soon.

Its a matter of days now, and then im a dad, and I am sh!t scared Shocked

Keep it cool mate, it will be over soon and you will have a beautiful child in your arms.

She needs you right now, be there for her and remember it's going to be very emotional and painful for her so you should do whatever you can to make it as easy as possible for her. This includes being with her, holding her hand and reassuring her, it will make it alot better.

And she will probably tell you that 'You're never putting that thing near her again', but don't worry, she doesn't mean it. ; - )

No need to be worried mate, it's gonna come out one way or the other and it's out of your hands anyway, all you got to do at this stage is be supportive.
Once you get the little bugger home you'll find he just wants to eat and sleep for the first few weeks, so not much for you to do.
By the time you need to get stuck in and do your bit you'll be used to it, and it's not that hard, i promise!
And finally, it's deffinately worth it all, in 6 months time you won't ever remember this bit and you won't be able to imagine not being a Dad, it changes your life forever and you won't be sorry.

Anders, no we have not really looked properly yet. We are going to wait until she is back at work, so we can get a mortgage.

The birth is going to be a nightmare, of what degree time will tell, the thing to remember is that when he pops out, it will all be forgotten.

The next few weeks will then be like living in a dreamworld, then life returns to normal.
