My chain has got some tight spots, and now needs replacing. I am going to have a go at doing this myself, just looking for a bit of advice: how long is it likely to take to do this?
Am I looking at an hours work, half a day? I have no idea.
Thanks in advance

If your chain has a split link, remove the link, join the new chain to the old one with the original split link and then use the old one to pull the new one through. Take the old one off, join the new chain with the new split link, about ten minutes work.
If you don't have a split link, I reckon it'll take a novice a couple of hours (with the right tools, angle grinder and chain link tool).
Cheers
