Simple one really, can you use a credit card to buy your tax disc from the post office? i'm guessing not.. but it owuld save much hassle..
Otherwise how does getting cash out from your card work..

You can use credit cards in the Post Office, but not for Tax Discs. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

If you use a proper hole in the wall machine outside a bank, or one of the royal bank machines which are outside somewhere like tescos, it's usually free to take cash out.
If you use a machine like they have in motorway services, you can be charged something like £1.75 for the priveledge of accessing your cash.
It says on the screen before you start - "This machine will charge you £1.50 for cash withdrawls", or if it's free - "This machine will not charge you for cash withdrawls"
