 |
|
When opening the throttle all the way at anything under 8k and the engine bogs for a few seconds before picking up. The low end accelleration is more or less the same as when it was 33bhp. The top end is also only about 108mph Indicated.
I have discovered this all since finding my Restrictors had fallen out somehow while I did the valve clearances.
Question is: Could it be I've cocked the valves up?
Carbs need fiddling with?
Bit of paper says its just the blades in the inlet.
Cheers for replies ____________________ Current Bike: Suzuki Bandit N600 '99,

If you'd made a mess of your valves chances are you'd blown it up by now. Definately sounds like a fuelling problem, maybe the pilot jets were changed up as it sounds like its running rich.
A plug chop is your friend.

Throwing in a air filter/ jetting here with no real experience. You wouldn't notice the dodgy air filter as much with the restriction in so perhaps it just needs a clean/new one.
Basically look at the air filter, is it really grimey?-worth looking as its so easy . |

@Mattsprattuk:
Its a 99 bandit 600 mk1. Haynes manual calls the top of the block the "valve rocker cover". Might be a clue
@yuri: Air filter has a pretty dirty circle that lines up with the spout of the air filter. Will clean it at the weekend. ____________________ Current Bike: Suzuki Bandit N600 '99,
