Would look much better in one colour then red/black as i think it takes away the character. Always liked the headlights tho. |

Cheers
Was quite impressed - dare I say, better build/finish/detailing than the Honda, verging on the all round appeal of the earlier CBR6Fs (very comfy for me, spacious seat, decent d-bubble screen, clip ons on top of the yoke) but with some of the hooligan thrashable heritage of the early model R6 (without the gearbox agro). Provisions for fold in mirrors, underseat storage, bungee hook points, metal tank, stock undertray, etc all add to why I thought it was the best model for me.
Personally, I really like the colour. Mixed with the headlights and detailing, I feel it gives a slight Alfa-Romeo look.
The only carbon to appear on the bike (well, I say this now, not a few months down the line) is to be a carbon can - the standard item sticks out a bit too much.
Other than that - stock. I'm even changing the tacky tail-tidy for a standard item. |

Looks nice that . Also appears the previous owner kept it in spotless condition. Thought it was a new bike until I saw the scuffed heel plate thing. |

Looks well nice Craig, the one thing that makes me cream about an R6 (the modern ones) is the headlights - they look the sex
Good call about the can, the first thing I did to my ZX6 was get rid of the MAHUSIVE steel can, and change to a smaller, louder, better, gorgeous scorpion
Im just imagining the bike in about 3 months time.
"Hey Craig, nice R6...didnt it have standard bodywork? And, why is it so clean? Wasnt it red and black before? You musta spent a lot of money on it, it looks pristine. Nice can. You've kept the shock spotless! You keep her on a stand in your living room, I assume?"
"It's my daily hack."

Hello, I Know I don't really post but just had to say that I recognise the background in that pic as I work as one of the mechanics/cleaners/general dogsbodys there. Will probably be prepping that bike at some point this week. I'm not supprised Tim was bemused at you cleaning the shocks most of our customers don't really do that hehe. BTW I rode that when it came in and it's spot on. Nice bike ____________________ Mooninites! Duplicate, reunite and unnialate! |

Cheers Mike
Looking forward to Saturday, hopefully the weather will hold. I was only kidding about cleaning the rear shock, bike's in such good condition that it shouldn't be too hard to keep tip top. |

I gotta disagree with you here Titz, (mind you, come to think of it, I have a D208 on the back now, and a D207 on the front)
but when i HAD both D207's didnt find grip to be a major problem at all, plus I got about 5000 miles outta the back D207, then changed to a D208.
Theyre grippy enough for knee downs, fast cornering was no issue, and Im using it ALL the time in shitty weather at the moment, and find no less grip than I have had with other tyres.
Well....spinning it up in greasy conditions cant be classed as no grip thats just fun ____________________ "Oh....it looks like Average Joe's is forfeiting the match!" - "Yeah, its a risky strategy but lets see if it pays off for 'em Cotton." |
