ok..

is the bike standing level and warmed up when you check it (same conditions each time).

are you pulling a lot of wheelies? it could possibly escape out the back.

when you get it in the morning, is there a puddle of oil under it?

check the sump plug is done up good and tight, and check the screw in the side is done up right and there - i dont have an NSR so i'm not sure where the screw is, but its on one side of the crankcases and oil will dribble out through the hole is the level is too high.

if none of that works, go chat to the shop.

Laughing Laughing

/me points to the nsr bit

how old is the bike?

if its just been serviced (like within about 500 miles) take it back and point this out to them, as they should have picked up on it

did they say anything about there being an oil leak or low oil when you had it serviced?

Hi

The oil filler is on the clutch casing, so when you fill it up it will show in the window quickly, and then drop as it finds its way into the gearbox (not talking ages, just a minute or so). So top the oil up as it should be , let it stand for a while and then check it. It should be checked with the bike upright. Make sure you are using the right gear oil (not 2 stroke oil, sorry if that was obvious to you).

If there is not oil leak on the outside then the only place for the oil to go is in through one of the main bearing seals, and the bike would smoke like crazy if it was using that much oil through there

All the best

Keith
