hi where to start i have a yam sr125 it keeps cutting out i have cleaned the carb caecked all the wirering new spark plug tryed coil and cdi unit so i havent got a clue can some one out there help me please

this could be sooooooo easy as mine used to do the same, it should have a run and cut off switch mine would cutt off without moving the switch but if you put your finger on top of the switch and push down and release it will probably click from under the seat, if it does it is the switch, clean it up and bobs your uncle and all that, if you still have trouble try cross wireing the switch wires,

if its not that they also have a side stand switch which could be faulty or even possibly the fuse

depending on how old the bike is i would almost cirtainly say the engine cutoff switch or the wireing to it

Have you checked the ignition barrel for corrosion, it may need replacing.

hi i tryed every thing and still doing it some times it feels like it is runing out ov petrol but i have cleaned the carb and the tap on the tank has like a plastic nut thing i tuc that off and that was clean it seems ok when u go slow and not flog it in the gears so i am stuk help i am good with bikes and cars but this has got me stunped

Is the carb float set to the right height. If it is too low it could be causing fuel starvation.

hi every one i think i have sorted the problem out i think it was the float in the carb the pin that the float pushes up there is a little plate on the float it was sqaust sort ov so i have opened it about 6 mm so its ok so far done about 20mile on it but how fast are sr s ment to go mine only gose about 55mph it is fast getting there like

they do about 55 60 mph though mine did 70 with a bit of playing with the sprockets and a bit of jetting i had a k&n air filter 115 main jet 15 tooth frount sproket

hi every one bike going ok but i come off it so its back in the garage sick as first time i have ever come off a bike no much damage indercater lense /gear lever bent not to bad i am ok just my pride lol
