The weather has picked up this week (not today) and there has been a increase of bikers on the road. There are swarms of us driving in/out and was wondering if anyone works in or near the Moorgate area?

The bike parking bay under my building is overcrowding and would be interesting to know if anyone on BCF actually works in the same building! Thumbs Up

ps: I work in Citypoint - Moorgate!

I occasionally have jobs in Deutsche Bank, and park my Van on Finsubry Circus, sometime's I get a chance to go there on the bike if I'm only setting up equipment and not delivering anything.

If I take the bike I usually park it in the bike bays between Finsbury Circus and London Wall!

my train from basildon to fenchurch st has air con and its only a 10 minute walk to the office. Costs £175 a month.
Compare this to riding down the A13 in all weathers, risking life and limb, having to change when i get to work, risk getting the bike nicked etc. cost £100 a month petrol plus 'work' bike running costs/purchase price.

its just easier on the train!

ha...so you too get the C2C (Chav2City) train? Much better than the district line I must say.

ahh...i suppose if you put it that way.
Petrol costs less than £7 to commute in a week so i'm Mr. Green
I don't mind the weather that much tbh - it's all about getting riding experience since i'm still classed as a noob.

Try riding a bike that sits at 90 degrees in an ambient tempreature of 25. If you had balls they'd feel like they had their own little swimming pool. A loose loose situation in anybodys book! Laughing

All the bikes parked along Lower Thames St (which I go through at least twice a week these days - don't know why, cos its hellish... its just "my route") always make me think of those smart-arses over on Visordown.

Sometimes I do. We have a client on the twenty something floor of No.1 with a silly name.

What is this commuting business? I live on the edge of the city and my commute is a couple of metres from my front door. Wink

My brain is not functioning very well lately.

I mean that entire long bit of road between Westminster Bridge and the Tower of London Laughing probably it has more than one name, I just randomly describe it as "the embankment".

I usually get onto/off it by Northumberland Ave, or by the HPs/Big Ben.

Just 'lately', eh? Wink

I get on it at Albert Bridge and follow it all the way to the Tower Bridge, when I get on the Highway (to Hell, aka Canary Wharf). During that time, the road is known by 11 different names, if I'm counting them correctly. I just call the whole lot 'The Embankment'.
