I am going away in 2 weeks touring Spain and France on a 1200 Harley custom sportster, I am wanting to charge phone up etc, Is there a gadget that I can connect to the battery with a female charger to plug into. Also any help in what to take would be great, so far I have

Tent
First aid kit
Basis tools
Sleeping bag
Loads of bungees
Spare bulbs
Rear tyre has ultra seal in it and taking can of puncture repair stuff
Maps
Driving licence
Insurance
MOT
Passport
Travel insurance documents

Think that’s about it

Don't know how reliable your bike is, but could be worth taking a list of dealers near your route.

I've plumbed-in a cigarrete lighter socket (maplins) into my CCM, to power my GPS from. Obviously using a standard car charger with it.

maplins are liars ,

buy this:

https://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1056&C=Maplin&U=SearchTop&T=cigarette%20cocket&doy=30m5

cut the end off, (the bit that goes into your car socket)

and wire it to your battery, (solder on a couple of the solder tag hoops onto the ends) you might want to put a inline fuse on it also or a diode so you can't get it backwards.

https://www.maplin.co.uk/images/300/lr62s.jpg

jobs a gud'un

I did this to my NTV (as a test bed) , if you want to make it nicer stick a relay on the side light onto this so it cannot take power off the battery when the lights are off.

Scrap that I remember opening it up , all you effectively need to do is undo the screw on the plug in end and you have two wires which you can wrap onto your battery terminals or solder on those solder tag hoops

oh you forgot your EHIC (european health insurance card) but you have insurance so this is a moot point

also your V5C.

anti chap stick, remember you are going to be riding lots of miles in the heat and your face is going to be air dried for hours at a time, to prevent your lips getting crusty sticking together and hurting loads.

I used some appropriate terminals that were in a crimp set I had, however just wrapping the wire around is probably fine.
I also wired in a fuse.

If you want to get fancy, go for a switch or really fancy and go for a relay to turn it on when the bike's running.

I bought two of these : Clicky

Then: One of these

Run the power leads from the battery (Fused of course), a splitter inside the box, mounted the two sockets in the box and bolted it in the compartment under the pillion seat on my ZX7R. Really was a piece of piss, and almost looks OEM. Charge phone + SNAV at the same time

If I'm sorting out my new toy for distance stuff, then I think I'll be looking at using some kind of smaller arbitarry socket and wiring my stuff up for that, not really worth the hassle for shorter trips, though.

I bought this from maplins https://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1056&&source=14&doy=31m5
Dismantled the end and your left with some soldered metal bits, just cut them in half and wedge them under you battery bolts. If you do that i'll go and see which side was which +/-

If you can it is well worth learning how to use proper (plug) puncture repair kit.

They are really easy and can be used (in emergencies) to plug much bigger holes than either slime or squirty cans. They are safer than slime (you know the hole is there and how bad it is) and work for longer than a can (anything vaguely big will defeat a can).

I've ridden on a plug (simple large screw through tyre) for 5000 miles until the tyre was dead. If its really big, then keep plugging until you run out or fill the hole; it got a mate of mine the 50 miles to a tyre fitter. Much better to hobble (20mph) than push!

Your list looks good, you didn't mention cards, take 2 (in case one says no Wink if you can, preferably Nationwide (cheap to use abroad) and any credit card. You never know when you may need to pay for repairs etc.

I always take some music, but thats just me.

I used the above. The quality is good and provides a water resistant option.

Hein Gericke sell them for £11.99. It did me well at the festival when i charged my phone and my mate's phone without any hassle. They don't drain your battery too much, probably the same amount as your alarm.
