does it only do it while you are moving??
or if you are stationary as well,
if stationary i would be looking at valve clearances or cam chain/tensioner
if only while moving
then could be loose disc, pads, fuct wheel bearings, or may be someone put a spokey dokey on your wheel (did you get spokey dokeys in the uk?)

Break pads - not changed with new wheel + seem to've bedded in ok.
ticking sound is audible when stationery and moving, seems to appear on throttling past 1500rpm. more noticable when moving but i think thats more to do with being in front of the engine noise. the ticking noise doesnot speed up/slow down with riding.. cam chain/tensioner done less than 1yr ago so maybes valve clearances??
never was lucky enough to have spokey-dokeys, had a bit of cardboard and a clothes peg was where it all began for me!
I have the same speedo drive and it's a similar noise but louder.. and the fact it clicks at a constant rate regardless of engine speed i reckoned it to be not that..
ps i'm rarely right when i reckon these things.
