The easy route eh..
I spent a couple of days laying a base, shoveling like mad into the wee mixer, but I'm glad a proper base is built under the actual wood floors etc.
Only problem is, once it's done and you get your stuff in, then your bikes, then you want to work on them you end up thinking.. extension. |

Yay!! Gotta love a shed/cave!!
It will end up costing more than a pre-build 'cos its your project, and you will do more and more....
If you gonna spend any sort of extended time in there, its worth puting in some cheap insulation and then line it. You will lose about 2" all the way round, and it will be a little extra cost and time, but it will make the WORLD of difference
Man no like cold cave, must be warm, then spend too much time in there and end up having domestics with 'one who make food'...ugg,ugg. ____________________ Keeping The Nation Pissed

Damn I want to build a second shed now I've seen this.
Current one is only 6' x 8' and has my Triumph, filing cabinet, lawnmower, small collection of my dad's tools I nicked from my mum's shed (like her or my effeminate brother will use 'em), bicycle, and large box full of stuff for the rabbit
Now I need shed to stick all that crap, sans the triumph, so I can have a bike shed devoted to tinkering etc. *grunts* ____________________ Current Bikes: Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (2020)

From then on, I and the bicycle feelings deeper. |

Nice definitely looks a bit smaller, but i WILL spend a lot of time in mine, and use it as a workshop

Security's not really a problem so i'm fine there, and once i get the calor gas heater on the go it should be toasty warm

No doubt.
Insulation might be a little over the top though
| strag wrote: | You don't need planning permission for a shed. Did you use marine ply? What are you going to cover the outside in? A 12inch fall is more than enough for water to drain off. |
I was told that anything over 6ft needs planning permission, but i'll just see how it goes.
I just used 11mm osb but will use some heavy duty ply for the base ____________________ DRZ-400sm |

Ha ha.I went to price up the roofing felt today and forgot to take my disk lock off when i left
Ended up with the bike on top of me and petrol pissing all over my legs Then had to spend half an hour trying to remove the gear shifter to straighten it up .Give up in the end and just rode home in 3rd gear.
How embarrassing ____________________ DRZ-400sm |

you dont need planning permission for a shed, you only need it for something if it is going to be permanent,
the garage my dad built up his garden is pre cast concrete and he didnt need planning permission for that
is the floor gonna be stronger? just thinking if you put a bike in there it wont be to sturdy???
i need to sort my shed out, it needs pulling down there must be a few hundered monster spiders in there ____________________ random twat!
