 |
|
Hi,
I've fitted an Acewell aftermarket speedo to my Honda 929 Fireblade. However, the indicator display is now constantly flashing (slighty dimmer than when indicator is switched on). Is there a way of stopping this 'pulse' when the indicator switch is in the 'off' position?
I'm getting desperate - MOT is due soon and this will be a failure.
Hope this makes sense,
Thanks! |

Faulty switch? Might not be breaking the circuit completely?
Dunno, just throwing ideas out there... ____________________

You'd probably have to spend a while finding the right resistance that the clock lights stop flashing when it's switched off, but do visibly flash when it's meant to.
I'd look up the mot rules, you may get away without an indicator light, in which case disconnect it and tape over the LED.
Which acewell is it, and are the pulses on the clock when the indicators are off flash at the same frequency as the indicators themselves when theyre on.
(that was a really really shittily worded sentance btw ) |

Makes perfect sense!
Sadly indicators (and high beam) are MOT requirements...
It's the Acewell ACE-39 series. Yup, the flash frequency is the same speed when switched off i.e. it's a constant when off or on, just a bit brighter when on.
Cheers for the ideas Noxious...the switch was working jst fine prior to the change of speedo. |
