rite i have had a few threads on here as i was goin though every think bit by bit , but as im at the end of trying to think what else it could be i have started a new thread so i can put it all in .

ok the bike is a cagiva mito 1994 mk2 i have just done a top end rebuild on the bike , i never rode the bike before , so i dont know how it was before .

im 250 miles into running it in , the bike still dont like to get passed 5000 revs its will if its pushed but it shouldnt be like that !

i will go along say in 3rd gear and i get to about 5 an half 1000 revs and it stops there for a little while and then will pass .

so far i have had the garage strip an clean the carb and set it back up , new spark plug an lead , new chain and sprockets , new air fliter well just the phome, it has a arrows race pipe and can , but the jets have not been done on the bike , yet !!!

does any 1 know what else i could look for on the bike to try an sort it !

cheers d-bug

Surely there is your problem right there?!?! Shocked

You have a race system on it and the stock jets, no wonder you have a massive flat spot ... you are actually prolly quite lucky it hasn't gone pop yet!! Neutral

Apart from the jetting (does it do it at 1/4...1/2...3/4 and full throttle? as you could try lifting the needle a notch or 2 to see if it helps) The mito also came with 2 types of piston. a flat top and a dome top piston. are you sure you were given the correct one for the bike??? Seen that one done before!!! Shocked
