Hope someone here can help having a few problems with my suzuki GN125 for a while after starting this happens while trying to ride and when the bike is just idling if you open the throttle it revs to about 2k rpm then bogs down and trys to stall and will but if you ease off a bit it'll struggle then eventually start reving more normally.

I've replaced the carb with a copy which I've pulled apart to make sure theres nothing wrong with it and it's all fine I've checked the fuel flow from the petcock the plug is white which indicates it's running lean which is more than likely part of my problem but the carb only has an idle mixture screw.

Any ideas? Had enough of looking like an idiot with no clutch control lol Embarassed

first thing whip the plug out and look at the colour, this will tell you how the carb is running - rich-lean etc.

plug should be a nice biscuit brown colour

if black = Rich
no colour i.e white=super lean

there is a plug guidline on a sticky in the workshop somewhere.

Regards

My first suspect would be an air leak somewhere round the carb.

When I first got the bike it was reving on it's own when I stripped the carb down I found holes in the diaphram so not sure what it was like before so replaced the carb with a replica I've replaced the plug and reseated the carb and checked for air leaks and can't find anything wound trying to raise the needle height work?
