To put it simply.. Yes they make a huge difference
I got one for my bandit 600, i think they're a bit fugly, but they make riding fast so much easier.
For example without my flyscreen a 110mph it felt like my helmet was going to come off!
Put the flyscreen on and did 123mph and all was quite stable and comfortable this was all on private raod of course
If anything it just gives you somewhere to tuck in when your going for a hoon, and allows you to cover much more mileage in comfort.
Flyscreens FTW |

I have had it on all the time so I am not to sure what it is like without but ducking behind the screen doesn't make much different so I guess it is doing its job. Would let you have a go somewhere quiet if I was back from university...
What is it like at the moment? (wind noise wise)
Have you seen my brother around on his cb-1? That has a screen on, talk to him and see if you can convince to let you have a go, he is listed on my facebook if you haven't got him on there.

Yes, I wanted that hornet when it was sat in fastline, but both the 250 hornets went, and both to people I know! Ah well that was a long time ago.
At the moment, there is no wind, as the brakes haven't been fitted yet, so it's still sat in my garage as I don't fancy using my feet to stop. Hopefully soon, it'll be on the road, it's taken long enough to get it where it is.
I probably should have a gander at your brothers bike sometime, I haven't actually seen it about, but my other half has, I just keep missing it.
I just have vivid memories of hurtling along a coast road on a pithy little 125 in high wind and over 70mph (or so it said) feeling like my upper torso was about to be ripped off by the wind. I'm not the biggest fan of the look of windscreen/flyscreen/windshields whatever you want to call them, but I also like having feeling in my arms, so if they help even a little bit, I'll consider one. ____________________ Current Bike: 2004 SV650S

Nothing like a bit of overkill for a flyscreen, and this was AFTER I'd cut it down!

Unfortunately the brakets loosened off on the way home, and folded down and hit me on the head at 70 on the M6 ____________________ Current: Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, Honda H100, Triumph Tiger 800XC, Suzuki SV650 (minitwin) |
